Mural - Greenacre School

Here are some photos of the final mural at Greenacre School, made not only to brighten up their playground, but to promote aspects of the 'every child matters' scheme run by local authorities.
I would love to add all the photos but there's so many they won't fit!! (The wall was approx 30metres in length).
The mural was actually designed by artist Neil Perry who used drawings submitted by pupils to create the outline. We worked together to paint the enormous wall white and then sketch on the drawings, adding in bits to the design as we went along. The children then took turns to help us colour in the pictures.

It was brilliant fun and hopefully will be treasured for years to come.

Final project for degree

These pictures were all part of work for my final drawing project at Uni. They're all pastel and around 3m x 4m in size, apart from the picture featuring one figure which is about 1m x 1m.

These could be anything but they ended up as boats. I just wanted to explore the pattern.

work for final project

These pictures are part of the preliminary work I did for my final Uni project. The idea behind them was trying to get connected with what I was doing. At the time I was influenced by a French artist who used to dress up as his subjects before painting them in order to feel more connected with them...so I dressed up as the things I was wanting to portray...such as searching for something, or feeling lost. I also dressed up as some of my favourite paintings.
